The Dundee Bracelet - Highland Dance edition
The heart of the Metal and Magick Tartan Jewelry Collection - Display your Scottish heritage with pride!

This is a single-width ribbon bracelet with bright aluminum rings and pink and purple anodized aluminum rings on a tartan ribbon in the black and white Menzies Tartan. It features a Thistle button ornament at its center, the same style as the buttons on Scottish Highland Dance outfits.

It is about 7.25 inches (~18.5 cm) long and closes with a lobster-claw style clasp.

The family of Menzies obtained a footing in Athole at a very early period, as appears from a charter granted by Robert de Meyners in the reign of Alexander II. This Robert de Meyners, knight, on the accession of Alexander III (1249) was appointed lord high chamberlain of Scotland. In 1423 "David Menzies of Weem (de Wimo)" was appointed governor of Orkney and Shetland, "under the most clement lord and lady, Eric and Philippa, king and queen of Denmark, Swedland and Norway”. The Gaelic appellation of the clan is Meinnarich, a term, by way of distinction, also applied to the chief. Of the eighteen clans who fought under Robert the Bruce at Bannockburn, the Menzies was one.

    Custom and personalized orders

I can make custom orders. If you see something you like, but want it in a different size or color, please contact me. Some items cannot be customized.

My wands and staves are handcrafted as individual items, and no two are ever alike. I am willing to consider a customer's wants and needs to craft a custom wand or stave, but cannot replicate an existing wand or stave. If you would like a custom item, please contact me.

Custom orders requiring extensive work (wands, staves, some clothing, and chainmaille clothing and armor) may be ineligible for refund due to dissatisfaction. I will clarify this when the arrangements have been made for the custom item.
